Being YOU

YOU is a word that many people don’t consider properly, particularly the part of you, which is normally left out of your own calendar.

When I'm coaching people, I’ve found that many people are great managing their calendars for work meetings, functions, and deadlines. They're right on top of their calendars in relation to work, but they don't put anything in their calendars about themselves. They don't schedule their morning walk, their lunch break, or their daily meditation sessions. All of those appointments you have with yourself even going shopping or going to the beautician, or physiotherapist or any other time you need to take for yourself.

So my tip for today is put everything in your calendar, even those appointments that are just between you and you, put them in your calendar. This brings and added benefit of giving you more of an accurate overview of your time. Because otherwise, you're taking the things that are most important to yourself, and trying to squeeze them around everything else. 

And the best way to do your life is to do you first, put you in your calendar first, and then fit everything else in around things that matter to you, and keep you healthy.

You are the most important thing in your life, and you need to treat yourself that way by making sure that you get a spot in your calendar. At the end of the day, if you're not here, your life doesn't work. No one else can go to work for you. No one else will look after your family or care for your kids like you do.

If it's not in your calendar, there's a good chance that it will not get done.
